Weird light period, tired, nausea, cramping…any help would be appreciated!?
My period has always been very regular…I am on a 24 day cycle. My period was due on Friday 5/14. It came 2 days late on Sunday 5/16. Usually, it’s very heavy for the first 2-3 days…I usually have to change my tampon every 2-3 hours. This time, it was way different. The first day, it was lighter than it usually is on the first day. The second and third day (yesterday and today), it’s been almost non-existent. I haven’t even had to wear a tampon. This is NOT normal for me at all…this has never happened before. About a week before I got my period, I’ve been having these weird sharp pains on both sides of my lower abdomen…not like period cramps, but sharper. I’ve also been super tired and a little bit nauseated the past few days.
I started a diet 3 1/2 weeks ago…I’m not sure if this would have anything to do with it or not. It’s definitely not a huge diet change, I’m just watching what I’m eating a little more and cutting out sweets.
Is this something that might be related to the diet, or should I make a dr appt? I’m trying to avoid that as my husband and I are running a bit short on money as he just started school.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
I should also add that the first day was the only day my period was reddish…yesterday and today it’s been all brown and pink.

Sounds like signs of pregnancy, you should stop wearing a tampon and take a pregnancy test. Red is new blood, brown is old. Pink and light periods like you are describing can be implantation bleeding so again, take a pregnancy test or, check your basal temp. early in the morning, if its elevated, you are probably pregnant. Good luck!
