Constant nausea after vomiting flu? Worried about pregnancy?
I had a bad flu that was going around last week and was very, very sick for 24 hours. Everyone else who had it was only sick for a day as well. It’s over a week later and I’m still having very bad nausea but not vomiting. It’s especially bad when I wake up, and is basically exactly like bad morning sickness.

I have an IUD that I was told was good for 3 years. I moved countries and went to the doctor just before three years to ask about replacing it and was told it was ok for 5 years, not 3. It’s been about 4 years since I had it put in now. My last two periods have been lighter and shorter than usual. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative.

It sounds to me like you still have a little bit of the flu. Go to the Doctors office and see what they tell you. But everything you said soundsl like the flu to me! Get some medicine

If you catch a stomach virus, how soon (after feeling nauseous), do you normally start puking?
I am a hypochondriac and an emetophob. so I always freak out when I feel a little bit nauseous. Also, do stomach viruses ALWAYS make you vomit? Or are there ways not to? Does the cramps/diarrhea at the same time?

Also, what can it mean if your stomach feels hungry, but when you put food in your mouth, you wanna gag? Could this be my anxiety?

thanks for your help.

No to first question, Some people never vomit with a flu this depends on the tor lance of each person, This also depends on persons body system and how they handel this type of issues,(cramps/ diarrhea) Sounds like you have a gag reflux action going on seek help. your anxiety may contribute to it but not only cause.

I’m sure your gag reflex is partly due to your anxiety, sometimes it’s hard for me to swallow because of my anxiety. As far as the stomach bug goes, you don’t always vomit when you have the bug. I think it just depends on the person. A few months back there was a nasty stomach bug that almost everybody in my family got, including my mom who never throws up and even with the stomach bug she didn’t throw up, she just had bad diarrhea for a couple days. Do you vomit easily?
