Is there a serious condition that lately when I have upper back pain, I get nausea, chills and sweat heavily?
For the last several months, I have had mid back to neck pain, normally strong dull pain between my shoulder blades, but layely I have gotten chills, headaches and threw up. I had a work accident that hurt by back, but lately it has been a new sympton of chills.

Answer by hotplates
Pains like that, even from headaches can affect you like that. That injury may have a lot to do with it – ive hurt myself many times and pains pop up out of nowhere. I went to a chiropractor and was fixed straight away.
If you are vomiting often, see a doctor.

Answer by deaddolly
I’ve never heard of a back or neck injury affecting you that way. But, go to see your doctor, just to be sure. It’s probably just a viral thing.

Answer by ZIGGIE
I would definitely mention it to your doctor and ask if these symptoms resemble those of a “HEART ATTACK”.

With a back injury, there is injury to your nervous system which controls your temperature. The back is very sensitive and the pain can trigger highs and lows.

What is wrong with me? I woke up on saturday night with fever, shakes, nausea and chills.?
Then it progressed to: headaches, fever, chills, shaking, nausea, pains in joints and skin and fatigue. Last night i woke up and couldn’t breathe properly. It felt like my lungs were hurting and and it hurt worse to lie on my side. Now i have tiny red dots on my chest and face and top of my legs.

Answer by Anony
u mest be pregnant

Answer by Chase
Hmmm it sounds like the flu. I’ve had some pretty nasty ones. The dots might just be a rash or it could be measles.

If your breathing gets labored or wet sounding you might want to go to the hospital or the doctors to make sure you don’t have pneumonia

Answer by SsimplyMme<3

Lightheaded, Chills, Nausea, Mood Swings, Fatigue?
I don’t know what’s wrong with me. For the past two or three days I have been feeling terrible. I’m really lightheaded, and it’s getting worse. Every time I move my head I feel like all the blood rushes out of my head and it’s difficult to see. And I have this headache that comes and goes. And sometimes I feel really nauseous, but i can’t throw up. I’ve been eating a little less since i began feeling sick, only because i start to feel sick after eating for a minute. And I am extremely fatigued. I get tired just from walking up the driveway, which is extremely out of the ordinary since i’m an athlete. And just today I’ve started to experience some extreme mood swings. I was watching television and I randomly burst into tears and was crying uncontrollably for no reason. What’s wrong with me?? I don’t like going to the doctor unless I absolutely have to.. I really need some advice. BTW I’m a girl, 17 years old. And I don’t think I’m pregnant because I only just had sex for the first time a week ago and used protection.

Answer by greywolf
PROTECTION FAILS ALOT. HAVE A PREGNANCY TEST. YOU MAY JUST BE GETTING SICK. NEED TO BE CHECKED OUT.

Answer by Morpheus
You got a case of the flu or one horrible cold going on there. Get plenty of fluids – wrap up and have as nice a time as possible because your body is telling you that you ain’t going to do anything until this bad boy goes away!

Good luck – if your lungs begin to fill up – might be that swine flu that’s going around – THEN maybe you want to run to the hospital and they’ll give you some official flu juice for that.

Answer by robert
Casey my dear,
You really do have to go to the doctor. Have you let your parents know? Have you hit your head? Have you had an ear infection? Do not take your symptoms lightly. When ever you have any kind of head discomforts you need to see a doctor. Especially being an athlete. What kind of athlete are you? By the way my name is Kathy.

I’ve been sick for the past 2.5 weeks: nightly fevers, chills, strong headaches, muscle aches, and nausea.
I threw up around the second day and just threw up yesterday, but I think that time was dehydration-related. My doctor doesn’t know what it is so he put me on a broad spectrum antibiotic twice per day about five days ago in case it is a bacterial infection. The progress has been pretty minimal. At times I feel perfectly fine, while at others, I feel absolutely horrible — same symptoms: fever, headache, nausea, muscle aches… Not to mention, this antibiotic (Ceftin 500mg) really makes me nauseous. I’m not allergic to it, but is there any way to make the nausea go away? Or does anyone have an idea of what this illness may be? I really want to feel better soon! :( :( :(

Answer by Rohit T
You may have been eating too much!

Answer by anoosha f
You’ve got to drink lots & lots of water with Ceftin…

Answer by MishMash
It sounds viral to me. But for it to be viral you need to have stinging, glassy eyes also. Do you have this symptom as well?

I agree that the second vomit is probably dehydration-related.

Fatigue, nausea, headache, dizziness, chills, fever?

Fatigue, nausea, headache, dizziness, chills, fever?
For a couple weeks I have been extra tired, sometimes extremely tired, and I’ve been sleeping more and more and can’t get enough energy. Last several days I’ve been feeling nauseous, one day I was very close to throwing up and felt feverish almost ran to bathroom, then within the hour I was a little hungry and ate some bread sticks. I’ve been getting chills, sometimes the cold sweats for a few days as well, then suddenly I’ll feel overheated! It’s as if my bodies internal thermometer is all screwed up. I don’t have a thermometer so I’m not sure if I have actually had a fever or not. I ran up the stairs one day and when I got to the top I felt weird, almost dizzy, and my legs gave out and I had to sit down for a minute or two. I’ve been feeling the dizziness off an all this whole time. I get headaches off and on, I figured because I was sleeping too much, which normally happens. I just can’t figure out what’s wrong with me. Pregnancy crossed my mind so I took a test and it was negative. It’s been since March 17th since I’ve had sex so I was to assume I’m not especially with a negative test, but I have no idea what’s wrong with me. I should be starting my period any day now, but I can’t tell if I’ve had my normal symptoms or not. Trying not to stress in case something is wrong, can’t get to the doctor for a little while so any ideas in the meantime would be greatly appreciated. Another thing is I feel like my attention span has suddenly gone bad. I lose train of thought, almost like a brain fog. All of these symptoms started up around the same time.

nausea, fever, chills, fatigue, what could this be?
on monday i was having pains in my lower stomach, i thought it was a ovarian cyst or appendacitis, low grade fever 99.7, went to the ER, they did blood work, CT scan, ultrasound, everything came back good, but im still having extreme nausea, low grade fever, chills, and just extremely tired. what could this be? im not throwing up, no diarrhea, no coughing, i have a headache off and on…..

Answer by Sarah
My first stop would be wikipedia or google for a quick reference. I actually had a similar question not even 5 days ago, but I couldn’t find the answer. If it’s possible, try getting help from someone with more knowledge/experience/expertise, like a professional if it’s possible. This can be pretty important.

I saw a forum with this online, but I didn’t have time to read it all. Try checking it out. I want to help out more, but I’m not 100% sure about the answer. Sorry I’m not much help. I hope you found your answer! Good luck!

nausea, diarrhea, chills after eating at burger king?
earlier today (around noon) i had burger king for lunch. i ate mostly chicken fries, left the regular fries for someone else to have, and had a few sips of coke. that’s about it. half an hour after eating, i started to feel like crap. i figured it was either because a: i’m on my period, and/or b: i had been up for roughly 36 hours straight (insomnia & i was super busy). so i went to bed and 4 hours later i woke up and rushed to the bathroom. i had diarrhea. everything was almost entirely liquid and this lasted for half an hour to an hour max. after cleaning up, i went back to bed and got up yet again 2 1/2 hours later to throw up almost violently for a short amount of time.
along with diarrhea and nausea, i’ve been lightly shivering. other than when i’m on or in front of the toilet, i haven’t felt that bad. just a bit tired and some aches.
in the past 24 hours i’ve eaten: chicken strips and mozzarella sticks from ihop; a can of mandarin oranges; assorted nuts (peanuts, cashews, almonds, etc.); some mello yello; and of course that burger king food.
could i have a virus, food poisoning, or something else?

Answer by Guiding Light
That should tell you not do something in the future unless you want to feel all those effects again.

Answer by Court Smith
It sounds like you may have food poisoning, just go to your doctor to get some medicine to clear it up.

I get sick every few weeks with symptoms of nausea, chills, fatigue and nausea. Doctor doesn’t know why?
I work in a school and understand that I will be susceptible to germs which will cause these symptoms, but I have not been working for a month and am still feeling ill off and on. Doctor says ” sounds like you have a virus.” I can’t possibly have a virus that often.

Answer by Lindsay W
Do youeat cafateria food?

It could be FOOD POISONING!

Answer by Paul G
Are you pregnant and not know it?

Answer by cheryl h
Can be a virus or something in your environment you’re allergic too…can also be a candida overgrowth in your gut…

Answer by Neerdowellian
You also might want to check for mold in your home and workplace.

Answer by wooleybooley
Maybe Legionaires Disease or mold in the air/heating ductwork. Have you been exposed to pesticides? Does the school have a pest control company routinely spray the school momthly? Have your blood checked for unusual items. Hope this helps.

I’m Not a doctor, a chemist.

Answer by Jeebus B.
Maybe you suffer from sinusitus. It’s like a sinus infection that never really goes away, that is caused by allergies to airborn things.
I suffer from this, and the effects are nothing short of devastating. Pure exaustion, a “stoned” or out of it feeling, nausea, dizziness, just about anything you can imagine.
Do you also have headaches? A feeling of pressure in your sinuses? A feeling that your nose is “clogged”, but unlike when you have a cold, there’s no snot or anything? Then that’s what you got, baby, there are cups in the kitchen — join the party!

Answer by Tigger
It sounds like something a bit more serious than ‘a virus’ to me. Get another doctor. And check for cancer, diabetes, or- a number of other things.

Answer by mom2babycolin
Ever watch Mystery Diagnosis on Discovery Health Channel? Sometimes symptoms like this indicate something serious and generally unknown to doctors. If your hair falls out, it might be arsenic poisoning. If you develop new, seemingly unrelated symptoms it might be cancer.

Keep going back to the doctor and keep all your medical records! If the doctor STILL can’t find a diagnosis, get a second opinion, but bring ALL the records of your visits to your old doc and a written record of symptoms and how often they occur.

Answer by Carla B
Has this happened before your monthy. If so this can be a form of PMS. If this continues I would go see another doctor.

Answer by whineydog2002
It could be parasites also. People get these more than you know.

Today I have been having fever, Severe headache, leg and ankle joint pain, chills, tiredness is this the flu?
I had dinner with a few friends and it turns out 2 days later they tested positive for H1N1 but, that was a week ago. I have no cough or congestion at all…Im not the usual sick. I just keep getting waves of energy then fatigue followed by chills and a little bit of nausea. The worst part is the darn body aches and pain in the muscle and joints in my leg. I havent been sick with a cold for well over a year… and Ive never ever had the flu…so I sure hope its not the flu. What do you think? Is there supposed to be muscle pain and aches with the flu?

Answer by shelly
Sounds like a story book case of it.
Push fluids, rest, watch the fever. Eat bland diet, plenty of juice, and Rest, Rest, Rest.
It should pass in just a few days. Take care!

Answer by Michelle
Not everyone gets the same symptoms, but fever, tiredness, joint pain, headaches, and chills are all side effects of the flu, including H1N1. It’s quite likely your friends passed it on to you. Just rest and go see the doctor, hope you have a speedy recovery. (:

Answer by Joe-Bob
Those are all symptoms of the flu yes.
Each person reacts differently to the flu so there is no hard and fast guide to exactly what symptoms you’ll get and with what severity.

It could also be various other things, but the best thing to do for now is to rest, drink plenty of fluids.

If it gets worse, or you have a reason to believe it’s something other than the flu, seek medical attention immediately.

You could go to the Dr and get a test so you know for sure, but really what’s the point? There’s no real treatment for either regular flu or H1N1, so it’s best just to stay at home.

Answer by Chris
SWINE FLU!!!!!

Answer by Dean
I never get the flu neither my wife, guess what I got this along with my wife. This H1N1 finds you and hits you hard You will feel like hell for 2-5 days. Take your temp and alter Advil and Tylenol every four hours.

Answer by Kat
The cough typically hits toward the end of the illness. Many people don’t ever experience nasal congestion with influenza. It’s typically a very abrupt onset of symptoms (feeling great one minute and then *BOOM* out of nowhere it feels as if you’ve been hit by a truck) which include fever, chills, fatigue and body aches. Some people also experience migraine headaches, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Answer by Cat
Definitely sounds like flu. Your friends could have been infectious when you saw them even though they had no symtoms at the time so it could be Swine Flu- or just the regular kind. Stay in bed, drink plenty of fluids-slightly sweetened drinks are good, like apple juice. Eat whatever you fancy but keep it light. Take some painkillers if you are hurting – tylenol or similar. If you don’t start feeling better in 5 days ring your doctor. Don’t just rush off to the doctor if you think you might be infectious – you don’t want to spread it round everyone in the waiting room!

Answer by Judy
Yeah that sounds like the flu bug for sure and You need to take 2 Ibuprofen for your pain and will also help with fever if you have one. Take them about every 4 to 6 hours to keep it in check. Give yourself some rest. A good precaution I read is to Gargle twice a day or more of warm salt water. Then cleanse your nasal passages with warm salt water and this will help prevent proliferation of swine flu and I suppose other flu viruses. Wash your hands frequently and do not touch your face only to help feed yourself food. Take Vitamin C supplements with Zinc or Eat a lot of Vitamin C enriched foods to help boost your immunity system. Drink a lot of warm water, Gatorade, juices and even coffee or tea to help keep you hydrated and also to act the same as Gargling except in the reverse direction passing any bacterias past the throat and into the stomach where the bacteria cannot survive or proliferate and cannot do you any further harm. These simple steps were suggested by a doctor who is head of the Nuclear Medicine Department and also a Specialist of the Thyroid. I have found good feelings from doing this everyday for myself. Since you already have a flu bug this will help you pass it through your system a bit faster, but you will still have to treat what you have now and continue to take the Ibuprofen and even good old fashioned chicken soup is always the stand by comfort help. Keep your nutrition up and have some scrambled eggs with toast and get plenty of rest and wrap up in a cozy blanket. I sure hope you are feeling better soon and Good Luck to you.

Answer by Sassy
Becoming acutely ill (fast onset of illness) and body aches with fever, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, etc are all indicators of flu.

Keep yourself hydrated by drinking enough, treat the fever with fever reducing medications, and see your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.

Good Luck.
